About Me

Many moons ago (not too many now!), I sat in the law library at a university in beautiful South Africa, the country of my birth. I dreamed of where I would be in ten or fifteen years, and my mind was awash with images of high profile criminal cases, stiletto heeled shoes and a life of being busy just being busy.

Then one day I met a handsome young man, who made me weak in the knees (he still does...), we got married and had a beautiful baby girl.

A few years after that we found ourselves on an airplane bound for Canada, in search of new adventures. We settled into our new country, with its frigid winter temperatures and breath-taking landscapes, with much excitement and gusto. Within a few years our little family of three doubled, and we felt blessed and content.

Between the cold weather and young children at home, I found myself spending a fair amount of time indoors. This lead me to discovering the wonderful world of scrapbooking and online forums and websites. In fact, I made more friends who "live in the computer", than I ever deemed possible.

Scrapbooking became my refuge from chronic exhaustion, runny noses, healthy snacks, swimming lessons and so on... I discovered a creative side to myself I never knew existed. I discovered a sisterhood built around caring and support. I discovered bliss and passion.

Through "The Paper Passion", I am hoping to extend this love of all things creative; the bliss and passion, the unselfish camaraderie among artists and the sharing of knowledge and experience.
